Today we are going to talk about one of the most controversial subjects in Christianity.
We are going to start the subject of Rapture – The next major event in God’s Timeline.
The subject of Rapture is one of the most debated subjects among Christians. This subject alone has divided Christians and churches.

Let me give a disclaimer here so that we are clear and don’t conceive any misconceptions.
Whether you believe in the Rapture or Not, if you are saved by the blood of Jesus and is a true believer, then you are going to Heaven no matter what.
Believing in the rapture is NOT a matter of your salvation.
But knowing the truth will empower you.
That is the very purpose of this channel – to bring out the powerful truths from God’s word.

Let us begin
Rapture – The next major event
.
The Rapture is known in the Bible as a BLESSED HOPE.
.
Let us read:
.
[Tit 2:13 KJV] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
.
Note the words used here – its NOT mentioned as the COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
It is mentioned as the GLORIOUS APPEARING OF OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST.
.
What more empowerment can a child of God get than knowing for certain about the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ and our going to Heaven to be with the Lord!
.
So let us get started.
Rapture is just a name given to the event and this word Rapture is not there in the Bible. Many people argue that since the word Rapture is not there in the Bible, so there is no such thing as the rapture.
That is not a good argument because if you go with the word, then the words Trinity or Theology and many such words are not mentioned in the Bible. But that does not mean that its not true.

So let us not focus much on the word itself but let us focus on the event where our Lord Jesus Himself descends from Heaven and takes us to Heaven with Him.
.
We saw a glimpse of this event in our previous episode – Power Nugget 10.
.
In this episode, we are going to clearly differentiate between the Rapture and the Second Coming Of Jesus.
.
Now, many people would be wondering how many times is Jesus going to come to earth?
.
Only 2 times:
.

First Time, he came to earth as a baby to die for our sins as a perfect lamb of God and to set us free from the bondage of sin. You can watch the first 3 episodes of Spiritual Power Nuggets to learn more about this.

Second Time, he will come to earth as a KING and reign on this earth forever! There will be no end to his Kingdom after that. You can watch the Spiritual Power Nugget 4 to lean about the future physical kingdom of God that is soon coming to earth.

So then what is the Rapture and when does that take place?
.
The rapture is the event when Jesus will descend from Heaven and be in the clouds (GLORIOUS APPEARING), when the DEAD IN CHRIST will be resurrected first followed by we who are alive will be translated or transformed into our supernatural spiritual bodies and be taken to Heaven with Jesus. During this event, Jesus does not come to earth and set his foot on earth. Rapture is the event that we saw in our previous episode (power nugget 10) which we read in the Bible in (1 Thessalonians Chapter 4, verses 16-17) and (1 Corinthians Chapter 15, verses 51-52).

This event – the Rapture happens approximately 7 years before the second coming of our Lord Jesus to earth. Now why do we have this seven years gap and where is this mentioned in the Bible, and all of that will be covered in the later episodes of Spiritual Power Nuggets.

Today, we are going to start by understanding that the Rapture and the Second Coming Of Our Lord Jesus are 2 different events.
Unless we can differentiate these 2 events from the Bible, it would be impossible to understand about the Second Coming Of our Lord Jesus and about God’s Timeline Itself.

God’s Timeline Is Very Simple and its like this now:

Rapture

Tribulation
-
Second Coming of Jesus Christ

1000 Years of Jesus Reign On Earth Or The Millennium
-
The New Heaven and New Earth.

I know that many people who are against the teaching of Rapture will come to attack this timeline and pose arguments. But I have read numerous books and articles on this subject and watched numerous hours of videos on this subject and its only after careful examination of all the intricate details have I come to the conclusion that this is the most biblically accurate timeline and the next sequence of events that are going to take place.
.
I have studied this subject from every angle possible – Pentecostal, Jewish, Seventh Day Adventist, Orthodox Denominations, Charismatics, etc.
.
There are 3 major beliefs on the Rapture:

Pre-Tribulation Rapture – Jesus appears in the clouds and takes us to heaven BEFORE the end time tribulation beings.

Mid-Tribulation Rapture – Jesus appears or comes DURING the MIDDLE of the end time tribulation and takes us to heaven.

Post-Tribulation Rapture – Jesus comes finally AFTER the end time tribulation and does not take us to heaven but sets up his kingdom here on earth with us.

Among these 3 major beliefs, on the Mid and Post Tribulation Raptures, there are other variations as well!
However, for the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, there is only 1 major version and most would agree on that.

When I was a child I believed in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture and then during my late twenties I started to believe in the Post-Tribulation Rapture due to some of the facts and shreds of evidence that I went through. But as I kept studying the word of God and kept doing my research on this subject and continued to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help me, in my early thirties, the Lord led me to a series of studies about the Jewish customs and on how that is linked to the bride of Christ which is the church and about how all of this is also linked to the Rapture. That made me look into the subject with a fresh approach which led me to many new discoveries and ultimately I have come back to believe on something which is very close to the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, but which is even more Biblical and that I TERM IT AS THE ON-TRIBULATION RAPTURE. We will cover all of this in detail in the forthcoming power nuggets because knowing these truths will empower you to live with Hope and Peace in the current times that we live in.

PATTERNS
.
There is something called Patterns in the Bible and those who study the Bible know that things repeat itself over the history of time. There is a famous saying that History Repeats Itself. Its the same thing and this is very much true in the Bible as well. We will try to cover that in another episode.

In the SECOND COMING Of Jesus, there is a pattern which is similar to his FIRST COMING and we are going to see that now.
.
There are several passages in the OLD TESTAMENT that predicted the coming of Jesus to earth. But when Jesus actually came to earth, the Israelites failed to recognize him or accept him. Why? Of course it was the plan of God but the way it happened was because The Israelites chose to believe in what they wanted to believe in. They failed to understand that the Bible was talking about 2 separate comings of Jesus. They were blinded from the truth.

Let us read the Bible passages now which will make it clear to us.

In the Old Testament, there were 2 different pictures painted of the Messiah:
.
ONE – THE SUFFERING MESSIAH

AND
.
THE OTHER IS A REIGNING KING
.
.
ONE: THE SUFFERING MESSIAH:
.
These are the words of our Lord Jesus when he hung on the cross and this was prophesied by King David almost 1,000 years before.

THE OTHER ONE: A REIGNING KING:

We saw 5 verses from the Old Testament that spoke of a Suffering Messiah and 5 Old Testament verses that spoke about a Reigning King.
There are even some passages in which BOTH THE PICTURES OF JESUS are GIVEN IN THE SAME VERSE!

Let us read:
.
[Isa 61:1 KJV] The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound;
.
This is referring to the FIRST COMING OF JESUS that is why Jesus Himself Read This passage. Do you know?
Let us read that story about Jesus in Luke 4 16-21
.
[Luk 4:16 KJV] And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

[Luk 4:17 KJV] And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
.
[Luk 4:18 KJV] The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

[Luk 4:19 KJV] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

[Luk 4:20 KJV] And he closed the book, and he gave [it] again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
.
[Luk 4:21 KJV] And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
.
NOW HERE IS THE MOST INTERESTING PART, DID YOU NOTICE THAT HOW JESUS HAD CLOSED THE BOOK AND SAT DOWN WITHOUT READING FURTHER? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS THE NEXT VERSE IN THAT CHAPTER?
.
[Isa 61:2 KJV] To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
.
NOTICE THAT JESUS DID NOT READ THIS PART OF THE SAME VERSE – VERSE 2 BECAUSE JESUS KNEW THAT THE DAY OF VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD HAD NOT YET COME!! THIS WILL BE DURING HIS SECOND COMING! THAT IS WHY JESUS DID NOT READ THIS PART BUT STOPPED BEFORE THIS AND SAID TO THE PEOPLE “THIS DAY IS THIS SCRIPTURE FULFILLED”.

So you see how the 2 comings of our Lord Jesus was MIXED in different verses and sometimes even within the same verse?
AMAZING!!

ABSOLUTELY SIMILARLY, THE SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS IS ALSO MIXED UP AND WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE FOR US TO FIGURE OUT!
.
Interestingly the Israelites missed the FIRST COMING OF JESUS because they ONLY FOCUSSED ON THE PASSAGES THAT DEPICTED JESUS AS A REIGNING KING! So they were looking for the KING OF THE JEWS and not the Suffering Messiah Or the Saviour who will save them from their sins.

I can prove this to you:

Let us read:

[Act 1:6 KJV] When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
.
See the question asked by his disciples? This was after Jesus resurrection but still they were waiting for Jesus to be king and restore the kingdom back to Israel. So they were waiting impatiently for the reigning King Jesus!
.
Similarly, today we are left with mixed passages about the coming back of our Lord Jesus. Similar Pattern! Remember what I said about patterns in the Bible?
We see a pattern here.
.
So we have to be VERY CAREFUL in INTERPRETING GOD’s WORD. THIS IS EXTREMELY CRUCIAL. IF YOU MISS OUT ON EVEN A BIT OF INFORMATION, YOU WOULD ARRIVE AT THE WRONG CONCLUSION!

Before we end this Power Nugget, I want to ask you one question. How many of you know the real reason why Jesus spoke in parables?

Knowing this is very important because it will open your eyes. Jesus Himself gave the reason why he spoke in Parables to the people!

Let us read:
[Mat 13:10 KJV] And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
.
[Mat 13:11 KJV] He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
.
[Mat 13:13 KJV] Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
.
So Jesus spoke to the people in Parables to conceal or hide mysteries or secrets!
.
Let us read another verse in the same chapter which will prove it to you:
.
[Mat 13:36 KJV] Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
See that?
.
So when Jesus told the parable of the tares of the field, they didn’t understand. Later when they were alone, the disciples asked Jesus to explain and Jesus explained to them. So you see Jesus spoke in Parables many times to just hide the secrets of God.
.

So is the Bible, full of mysteries and secrets of God’s Kingdom. We have to search it out and study it and only the Holy Spirit can reveal the truth to us.

The Rapture is ALSO A MYSTERY so it is not easy to understand but we must study this subject to be very clear about it:

Let us read:
.
[1Corinthians 15:51-52 KJV]51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
.
So let us rejoice and be glad that very soon Jesus is going to descend from Heaven with a shout in the clouds and we will be transformed in a second and taken to Heaven.
.
We are very close to this beautiful event and so let us be watching and praying as Jesus wanted us to in:
[Luk 21:36 KJV] Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

The time of our Escape is nearing, and let us be watching and praying.
